Sustainability remains a central theme at this year’s
Semicon West conference, as the semiconductor industry
transitions from isolated efficiency projects to system-wide, design-to-disposal strategies. Companies view
sustainability as a competitive advantage—critical not
only for compliance and ESG (environmental, social, and
governance) goals but also for long-term supply chain
resilience.
“Sustainability in semiconductor equipment is no
longer optional; reducing water usage, shrinking energy
consumption, cutting exhaust emissions, and minimizing
carbon footprint are important factors,” notes Ismail
